​Position Overview

​As a Full Stack Developer at Zaptodoor, you will join the core engineering team responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining high-speed hyperlocal delivery infrastructure. You will work across real-time order processing pipelines, GPS-enabled dispatch systems, merchant dashboards, and consumer interfaces, ensuring minimal latency and high platform stability as the company scales.

​Key Responsibilities

​Full-Lifecycle Feature Engineering: Design, build, and deploy end-to-end features connecting the Customer, Merchant, and Rider platforms.

​Real-Time Systems & Dispatch: Build and optimize low-latency event-driven services for real-time order matching, rider location tracking (WebSockets, MQTT, or server-sent events), and live ETA calculations.

​Backend & API Architecture: Develop clean, scalable RESTful/GraphQL APIs and microservices using Node.js/Express, Python (FastAPI/Django), or Java/Go.

​Frontend & Web Interfaces: Build responsive, lightweight merchant portals, administrative panels, and web dashboards using modern frameworks like React.js or Vue.js.

​Location & Map Integration: Implement and optimize mapping services, geofencing, route planning, and address resolution using Google Maps Platform, Mapbox, or OpenStreetMap APIs.

​Database & Cache Management: Design and maintain relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) for transaction integrity and caching/in-memory databases (Redis) for real-time driver availability and session states.

​Payment & Communication Gateways: Integrate and maintain secure payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree, UPI workflows) and SMS/push notification engines (Firebase Cloud Messaging).

​Reliability & Cloud Infrastructure: Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud deployments (AWS/DigitalOcean/GCP).

​Technical Requirements

​Experience: 1–4 years of full-stack software development experience (startups or logistics/e-commerce domains preferred).

​Frontend Proficiency: Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/Tailwind, and modern frontend frameworks (React.js, Next.js, or similar).

​Backend Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with server-side frameworks (Node.js, Express, or Python/FastAPI) and API security standards (JWT, OAuth, role-based access).

​Databases: Practical experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and key-value datastores like Redis.

​Geospatial & Real-Time Tech: Hands-on experience working with WebSockets and third-party Map/GPS APIs.

​Tools & Version Control: Proficiency with Git, Linux environments, Postman, and container tools (Docker).

​Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

​Prior experience building or contributing to food delivery, quick-commerce, or last-mile delivery platforms.

​Exposure to mobile app architectures (React Native / Flutter) to collaborate effectively with mobile engineers.

​Familiarity with queue systems and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or BullMQ).

​Experience architecting systems optimized for low-bandwidth networks in Tier-2/Tier-3 regional markets.
