Job Summary

The Delivery Boy/Driver is responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages, goods, or documents to customers at various locations. This role requires professionalism, excellent time management, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Operations:

Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses along assigned routes.

Ensure timely and safe delivery of all packages, checking orders for accuracy and completeness.

Obtain recipient signatures or electronic proof of delivery as required.

Route and Time Management:

Plan and follow the most efficient routes using GPS or maps to meet delivery schedules.

Adhere to assigned timetables and notify the supervisor promptly of any issues or delays.

Customer Service:

Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Answer questions, handle payments (if required), and resolve minor customer concerns or complaints.

Vehicle and Safety:

Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle (car, bike, scooter, etc.) to ensure it is in good working order.

Report any necessary maintenance, accidents, or traffic violations to the supervisor immediately.

Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and regulations at all times.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, payments collected, and customer interactions.

Complete daily logs and reports as necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Valid driver's license (or appropriate license for the vehicle used) and a clean driving record.

Reliable mode of transportation (if using a personal vehicle) and current insurance.

Familiarity with local area routes and navigation tools (GPS, maps).

Physical ability to load, unload, lift, and carry heavy items (often up to 50 lbs or more) and perform tasks for extended periods.
