my project, "IoT-Based Agricultural Monitoring System." This project aims to modernize traditional farming practices by addressing challenges such as inefficient irrigation and unpredictable weather patterns.
The core idea is to use the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor key environmental factors in real-time. Our system uses sensors like the DHT11 to measure temperature and humidity, and soil moisture sensors to track moisture levels in the soil. The data collected by these sensors is then transmitted to a cloud platform using the NodeMCU ESP8266 Wi-Fi module. This allows farmers to access the information remotely through a web interface.
One of the key features of this system is its ability to automate the irrigation process. The system can trigger a water pump based on the soil moisture level, ensuring that crops receive the right amount of water. This not only conserves water but also reduces the need for manual intervention.
The benefits of this project are numerous.
