Essential Responsibilities: - The incumbents in this role will have the responsibility for interacting with the global supplier base for GE Oil and Gas. The incumbent will perform required functions from initiation of an intent to purchase to satisfactory delivery of material or service to our customers- responsible for defined work or projects of moderate complexity. Will follow an individual work plan and meet day:to:day short:term objectives. The incumbent should have the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or escalations- Liaison with sourcing organization to evaluate current and anticipated requirements, determine potential sources, and obtain bids- Coordinate the process of procurement assigned commodities.- Perform continual market analysis and monitor supplier progress- Initiate necessary actions to assure best value is received; customer delivery requirements are met, and address any manufacturing problems at supplier facility by coordinating with the relevant function in sourcing and engineering.- As directed, consolidate procurement activities for assigned commodities, including development to Supplier Database sources- Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other required documents to assure orderly administration and retention of records- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly analysis reports and status of the jobs assigned
