job Description:

You will be responsible for application development and support of the Cypress PSoC (Programmable System on Chip).
The innovative design of PSoC will lead to your involvement in a broad cross section of consumer and industrial product designs.
In this position, you will be involved in providing technical support to Cypress customers and field applications team; creating product awareness; preparing and delivering customer presentations; and development of references designs and application notes.
As a senior technical person in the group, you will be considered expert in your domain area (programmable digital logic) and mentor young engineers.
You will be considered expert in the industry in your area (programable digital logic).
You will help decide company's strategy in your domain area to be successful.
You will influence the Si and SW definition in your focused area.

 
Job Specific Requirements:

You must have excellent communications skills, both written and oral, excellent technical skills, and a customer service orientation.
You should have the ability to juggle multiple projects with multiple priorities and be capable of formulating and negotiating win-win solutions for Cypress and our customers.
You must be smart and capable of creative problem solving.
You will be working in teams as well as individually, and should be capable of building relationships within and outside of Cypress.
You will be leading some teams so leadership quality and ability to work with little guidance is required.
Some travel involved.
You must be familiar with variety of embedded system design aspects including MCU, CPLD and FPGA based designs.
Aware of structured programming technique using embedded C.
You must have >5 years of experience in programming CPLD/ FPGA using verilog.
You must have used digital peripherals (e.g. SPI, I2C, PWM etc) found in sub 100 MHz MCUs.
Prior work experience with semiconductor company is preferred but not required.

 
Experience: 15+yrs
education:
BE/B.Tech/ME or MS or equivalent degree
